Created as part of Aurelie Maron’s Lettering Style Challenge 2025 held in October, this project features 31 illustrated book covers, with each cover designed around a different daily lettering prompt. I used the challenge as an opportunity to combine expressive typography with storytelling, exploring how lettering and illustration can work together to capture a book’s mood and genre.

Each cover was inspired by a real book title, carefully chosen to match the lettering style of the day. The collection allowed me to experiment with a wide range of compositions, colour palettes, and design approaches.

A curated selection of 18 book covers is presented here to showcase the range of styles explored throughout the project.

I was honoured to be named one of the three winners of the challenge, receiving the Most Engaging Award for sharing my process, connecting with the community, and bringing storytelling into every piece.
